I absolutely loved doing these architectural photos in New York City.
I was privileged to get to go to NYC with the Highlands Youth Ensemble for our concert tour at Carnegie Hall & St John the Divine Cathedral.
We adventured hard in just three days going to:
- We went to the Met gallery
- We went to the top of the Rockefeller Center
- Grand Central Station
- New York City public library
- Los Tacos (amazing restaurant)
- Ground Zero memorial
- Statue of Liberty (from afar)
- Broadway show!! The Great Gatsby :)
- Central Park
While exploring New York, I took my camera and snapped as many photos as I could. These photos pictured below are some of my favorites.
I enjoyed looking for different & new compositions within the city. I also loved looking for the lines and directions in my photos. This reminds me of how much I learned in design class about leading lines and focal points!
These were all taken with my 50mm lens on my DSLR. I have really been enjoying the film style which is what I used to edit most of these photos. I just love the way it brings to life the architecture in a unique way unlike regular filters or styles!
Until the next post!
